John Kandare is a certified audiologist and fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He is licensed by the State of Ohio to practice audiology and to dispense hearing aids. Dr. Kandare received his Bachelor‘s of Science in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences in 2010 from Ohio University and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014. While at the University of Pittsburgh, he worked in a variety of clinical settings including UPMC Eye & Ear Hospital, Cochlear Implant Center, the VA, and at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. During his externship, Dr. Kandare worked at a large private audiology practice in Lynchburg, VA where he gained valuable knowledge with many aspects of audiology including vestibular testing.
Dr. Kandare is originally from the northeast Ohio area, growing up in South Euclid and Aurora, OH. His dad has worn hearing aids since he was a young child and Dr. Kandare wanted to learn more about his dad’s hearing loss and before long, decided he wanted to make it his career.
